Ariel possesses a unique, scholarly affinity for mathematics. This skill, combined with love for family, community and sports, makes her an inspirational testament for her North Country upbringing. Ariel’s dedication is reflected in her multiple contributions to Seton Catholic as a math and health teacher, assistant athletic director and is sometimes seen driving the tractor to mow the lawns. Leading with extraordinary kindness and authenticity, Ariel brings a light wherever she goes.


Tell us about your community involvement.

Most of my community involvement happens through school. I am very involved in our school community as I coach two sports during the academic year. During the fall, our soccer team hosts a “Think Pink” game where we collect money at the game and donate the funds to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center at CVPH. During the winter, our basketball team raises money and buys Christmas gifts for families in the Plattsburgh community.


Who do you look up to for inspiration or mentorship?

I look up to my family members for inspiration and mentorship.


What strategies do you use to approach the day?

I try to approach each day with a positive outlook and view it as a clean slate where anything can happen.


What is something that no one would guess about you?

I love to play and watch golf.


What important lesson have you learned in your career?

I have learned the importance and necessity of communication. Open, honest, and effective communication is imperative to ensure that the workplace runs smoothly day in and day out.


What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?

The biggest risk I’ve taken is buying a house during the pandemic.
