Who do you look up to for inspiration or mentorship?
The person I admire most is my mother. She is a strong, independent woman who worked tirelessly to raise my brother and me. She is my biggest supporter, always encouraging me to be my best. Despite life’s challenges, she instills in me the belief to never give up and strive for excellence. Her lessons have taught me to persevere and make things happen. People tell me that they do not know how I do it all. How do you psychically clean all these homes, care for your children, volunteer your time and repeat the process day after day? My mother ingrained these work-ethic values into us at such a young age and it is something I intend to pass on to my children. If you work hard, do your very best and love what you do, everything will fall into place. Thanks mom!
What strategies do you use to approach the day?
I like to begin my day with an uplifting note, so I reach for my morning motivation book to inspire me to make the most of my day. I find that these positive reminders really set the tone for the day ahead. In addition, I always have my morning check in phone call with my mother to touch base and connect.
What is something that no one would guess about you?
Fishing is a passion of mine. Although I have always wanted to go marlin fishing in Hawaii, I love spending a day on the lake with my son hunting for bass, pike and perch. As much as I love the catch, I refuse to take a fish off the hook without my gardening gloves or oven mitt.
