...not merely neighbors, but as friends and family and as the people who...
• Enlisted in the Union Army in OUR Civil War by the tens of thousands.
• Landed on the beaches of Normandy with us on D-Day.
• Have been awarded 61 American Medals of Honor while serving in the U.S. military.
• Shed blood with us in Afghanistan.
• Wept with us after the assassination of President Kennedy and renamed an avenue in Montreal in his memory.
• Rescued our diplomats in Tehran.
• Took Americans into their homes in Gander, Newfoundland on 9/11.
• Sent ships, rescue teams and supplies to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
Please join us in this new year by helping to spread a heartfelt, bi-national messaging campaign, conveying to all Canadians that we remember and cherish our special people-to-people relationship, while reminding Americans how deep our special connections have long been.
These and other parts of our campaign are rolling out broadly, especially across Canada, on social and other media — not as “marketing” but as a timely and direct expression of a deeply felt understanding of our historic and unique bonds.
Each element, plus a collective video, is accessible on the Chamber website and we would encourage you to post them to your own media and help to amplify this important outreach to our irreplaceable friends.
