Lung Cancer Screening Saves Lives
In rural America, more people die of lung cancer than any other type of cancer. The University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Vally Physicians Hospital (CVPH) is helping to reduce the risk of death from this disease by off ering low-dose CT scans which can detect the disease in its earliest stages, when it’s easier to treat.

ELIGIBILITY:
• Age 50 to 80 years old (age 77 for Medicare)
• Current smoker OR quit in the past 15 years
• History of heavy smoking (20 pack/year history)
Visit www.savedbythescan.org to take an online eligibility quiz from the American Lung Association. Low-dose CT scans are painless, take only a few minutes to complete and are covered by most insurance carriers.
